Missing girl Zuri Dorsey, 2, feared in 'extreme danger' after dad abducted her from her bed in middle of night, cops say

COPS have issued an amber alert in a desperate bid to find a two-year-old girl allegedly snatched from her bed by her father.

Zuri Dorsey from Virginia Beach, Virginia, is believed to be in "extreme danger" after her estranged dad is suspected of abducting her in the middle of the night.

According to VA State Police, Dorsey was last seen at her home in the 1300 block of Sapphire Drive in Virginia Beach.

Zuri Dorsey "is believed to be in extreme danger," an Amber Alert activation by the VA State Police said.

"The child is believed to have been abducted by Deandre Alante Dorsey, 27," the statement added.

It is believed that her father took Dorsey on December 9 around 7.15am and covered her in a jacket as she was only wearing underwear.

Law enforcement and the public have been asked to look out for a red 2016 Honda Accord with North Carolina plate RAZ 9972.

It is possible the pair are traveling to Lewiston Woodville, North Carolina, or Lawrenceville, Virginia in this vehicle, according to authorities.

Zuri is described as two feet tall and 34lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

The toddler was last seen wearing red and white striped pajamas, but an update from the State Police says that she could now be wearing green pajamas with a Santa Claus print.

Her father is described as a Black male with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be 5'11, weighing 160 lbs, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and jogger pants.

Deandre Alante has six outstanding warrants in Virginia Beach, cops said.

The suspect also has Type 1 diabetes and it is not known if he has medication with him.
