'Absolutely killed it' says shopper who found $2 Beanie Babies bear at thrift store - and it sells 'for hundreds'

A THRIFTY reseller found a proverbial pot of gold while browsing a Goodwill for more products.

The shopper sorted through a good amount of lower-selling products that he planned on cashing in for between $30 and $200 before revealing his biggest find.

Jrideflips on TikTok is a full-time eBay reseller who combs through thrift stores, like Goodwill, for cheaply sold goods to sell at a heightened price.

Many of these products are electronics that were undervalued in the store, meaning he can resell them and make a decent profit.

He also relies on finding underpriced collectibles in stores that he can turn a pretty penny for.

"Gonna make a ton of profit from this thrift store run today! Reselling on eBay is the best side hustle. Thrifting to resell is goated!" he captioned his recent video, documenting his finds.

After showing off some speakers, massagers, glasses, and cookware that he would turn a good but lower-value profit on, he ended the video with a fluffy yet lucrative final find.

"And then finishing it off with a Beanie Baby that goes for several thousand dollars," he said, showing off the item.

The Beanie Baby in question is an American flag-patterned bear that he brought home for only $2.

"Absolutely killed it," he bragged while concluding his video.

Users were quick to point out some issues with his line of thinking in the comment section.

"If that Beanie Baby has the error on the tag and the thinner stripe on the left leg it could be worth as much as zero dollars!" shared one user.

"Seeing a Beanie Baby on Etsy or eBay for thousands doesn’t mean it’s ever gonna sell. Nobody wants them," wrote another.

The poster responded to the user, conceding that they were right, items are only worth what people are willing to pay for them.

Further down in the comments, he went on to explain that he was exaggerating the thousand-dollar price point.

The Beanie Baby he found is selling on some marketplaces for hundreds, upwards of $800.

One user in the comments cited this price and offered to buy it on the spot.

"I’ll give you $800 for the Beanie Babie final offer," they commented.
